About the workshop
The workshop focuses on turning sugar industry side streams into high-value products, technologies and business opportunities that support sustainability, the circular bioeconomy and long-term industrial competitiveness.
It is a thematic workshop of the Co-Products Section of the International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ISSCT), the global association of scientists, technologists, managers and companies working on the technical advancement of the cane sugar industry and its co-products.
Thailand is one of the world's largest sugar exporters, with an industry that is moving quickly into bio-based materials, bioenergy and biochemicals. The 2027 workshop is hosted by the Thailand Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (TSSCT) in Khon Kaen, at the centre of the northeastern cane belt.
Topics
Abstracts are invited in nine topic areas.
